Yoga
and music have their roots in the ancient culture of India
in the Vedic Period (1500-500 B.C.). Seers and rishis, in
their quest for blissful living, discovered and developed
yoga and music as an art of living and spiritualism to know
and realize the ‘Ultimate Truth’.
After
some time, however, yoga and music started to emerge as two
different paths: Yoga as a Philosophy and Music as an art.
Music gained its value as a performing art but it started
to lose its spiritual values and living moralities.
Similarly,
as yoga became solely a philosophical and spiritual path it
started losing its values as art of living for man as a social
being.
Through
music and meditation Ombience seeks to re-establish the interdependent
relationship between art and spirituality.
