Katharina Day, originally from Austria, started playing violin when she was six. She trained in classical music and after graduation went on to study jazz vocals at the Vienna Conservatory in pursuit of her interest in musicology.

Katharina went onto study Indian violin at the International Music Academy in Nasik, India.

She is currently studying in U.C.L.A’s Department of Ethnomusicology.
